I want to take a few moments to address this story further. I posted this story earlier this week here on the blog. However, as I have been reading some of the comments posted on this item as it was being addressed on various media outlets, it has become painfully obvious that some people are missing the point here.
What we are witnessing here is the absolute politicization of health care and you and I know that is a very dangerous thing. It is one thing to deny medical service to people who are mean, combative, abusive, etc. But, when you start to go to denying someone an essential life saving service simply because you don't like his or her politics and /or political worldview, you are setting a very dangerous precedent. What you are doing here is playing God and that is just plain dumb, stupid and idiotic.
I get that there are people who hate Donald Trump's guts. I get that there are people who hate the guts of the over 63 million people who voted for him, including myself. I get that some people hate Donald Trump's and those of his 63 million supporters becuase of what he stands for.
But, is that really any reason to veto his or any of his supporters access to critical medical services or for that matter any other essential services such as groceries, gas, or transportation? If your answer is yes, then you have absolutely no heart or soul whatsoever.
If this were happening here is America right now, Rush Limbaugh would not be getting his lung cancer treatments. He has made a life out of offending establishment politicians, progressives and social justice warriors. You can bet that a lot of these people hate his guts and would have liked to see him be denied his lung cancer treatments and die.
This is why people like these need to be kept out of power. You see what is going on right now in the UK with the NHS and health care. Do we really want this nonsense coming to the U.S.?
Health care is a life or death matter. Leave politics out of it.
