Let me just say first off that these WERE NOT protesters in Minneapolis MN. What these were instead are rioters, goons, thugs, hooligans, I could possibly add more names but you get the point.
It's one thing to destroy a politce station but to go and destroy businesses that you and I know had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with what happened here was absolutely dumb, stupid and idiotic. What this means here is more lost jobs on top of what has already happened from COVID-19. Really, really stupid!!!!!
Now with all that being said, what the police officers did here was also absolutely dumb, stupid and idiotic. To start off with this was a PROCESS CRIME!!!!!! This was NOT some crime where someone would shoot and kill you. Now, if your life was being threatened that would be a different story. However, this man was handcuffed and clearly posed no threat whatsoover to the officers.
Things like this are what bring out the worst in people. With all of this COVID-19 stuff going on and the major economic damage that has resulted in terms of lost jobs and livlihoods and income, the very last thing law enforcement needs to be doing right now is doing something to piss people off to the point where they end up setting buildings on fire causing job losses and uncertainty and torching cars.
There is a Facebook page called "Police The Police" which documents stories of police brutality. One of the more recent stories I've seen posted comes out of Gavin Newson's state where cops stomped an innocent pregnant woman leaving boot marks and causing a miscarriage Folks, things like this are why riots happen. You in a position of authority can't go and act like a stupid dumbass on people regardless of their political stance.
And yes, President Trump has ordered an investigation from the D.O.J. into this. Needless to say a lot of people are upset about this and rightfully so.
